Membership into the “Trash Clan Crew” requires an introduction by a current member or by contacting the Quartermaster or 1st Mate of Trash Clan.
Before applying for membership status, please make sure you meet the minimum requirements beginning October 1st, 2023, until further notice, and are subject to change.
Minimum Qualifications:
a. You will need to have camped with Trash Clan for at least two seasons at the Texas Renaissance Festival.
b. You must have at least two events in both calendar years before and/or after one season and before the next. Which will be a total of four events not including camping at the Texas Rennaisance Faire with Trash Clan.
c. You participated in the set-up and tear down for both of the two seasons you camped with Trash Clan.
c. You will be able to answer questions about Trash Clan history as they are asked to you by current Trash Clan Crew members.
e. Every current member of Trash Clan will have to vote “I” for you to become a member.
f. You are at least 21 years of age.
NOTE: One “Nay” will exclude you from membership.
We welcome individuals who share our passion and values to become members of the Trash Clan Crew (TCC). Our aim is to create a vibrant community where members can collaborate, learn, and contribute to our shared objectives. To maintain the quality and integrity of our group, we have established the following membership requirements:
1. Interest Alignment: Prospective Trash Clan crew members should demonstrate genuine interest and alignment with the goals and focus of Trash Clan. This is essential to foster a community of like-minded individuals working toward common purposes.
2. Application Process: Interested individuals must complete an application, provide relevant information about themselves and their motivation for joining. This will help us understand their background and reasons for wanting to become a crew member.
3. Respectful behavior: We value respectful and inclusive interactions within our community. Prospective Trash Clan crew members must agree to abide by our code of conduct, treating all members and guests with respect and refraining from any discriminatory, offensive or harmful behavior.
4. Active Participation: Trash Clan thrives on member engagement and contributions. Prospective Trash Clan crew members should commit to actively participating in group discussions, activities, and initiatives, as their availability allows.
5. Contribution to the community. We encourage members to share their knowledge, skills, and experiences with the group. Prospective Trash Clan crew members should express a willingness to contribute positively to the community’s growth and development.
6. Regular Attendance: While we understand that everyone has different schedules, consistent participation helps build strong relationships within the group. Prospective members should commit to attending group meetings, events, or virtual gatherings whenever possible.
7. Collaborative Spirit: The Trash Clan crew values collaboration and teamwork. Prospective Trash Clan crew members should demonstrate an eagerness to work collaboratively with others, share ideas, and engage in constructive discussions.
8. Membership dues: Prospective Trash Clan crew members should be willing to pay membership dues which contribute to the group’s operational expenses.
9. Review and Approval: Once a prospective Trash Clan crew member completes the application process their information will be reviewed by the existing members or an appointed committee.
Membership approval will be based on the alignment of the applicant’s interest, willingness to contribute, and overall fit with the group. By adhering to these membership requirements, the Trash Clan Crew aims to create a dynamic and passionate community of individuals dedicated to achieving our shared objectives.
These requirements ensure that our members are committed, respectful, and actively engaged, fostering a positive environment for personal and collective growth.
Request an application for membership from a Trash Clan Crew Member in good standing, this Trash Clan Member will be your sponsor during the membership process. The sponsor can assist your navigation through this process and will inform you of certain non-public information, events, etc.
Your application will need time to be reviewed and discussed. Prospective Trash Clan Crew Memebers will be voted on at a specified time, one time, per year. Exceptions can be made at the discretion of Trash Clan Leadership.
Trash Clan Leadership reserves the right, at will, to terminate the membership of any member of the Trash Crew for any infraction of the rules, responsibilities, requirements, code of conduct or disconnect in alignment of Trash Clan Crew objectives.
